Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at contact@thepocketcloud.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

The application is not affected by malware in any way. Even if ransomware encrypts all your data, it will continue to work. If you turn on your Cryptolocker notifications from the Pocket Cloud Administration Panel, the system will send you an SMS alert when the ransom virus infects your computer or server. Restoring your data is also very easy. All you need to do is to detect when the ransomware was infected and restore your folders to an earlier time than the attack.

We have many differences from our competitors, some of them are:
The versions of your backups do not affect your quota. The size of the backed-up file in Pocket Cloud will be the same on your computer. For example, if you back up 50GB size of a database file and scheduled a task to run every hour, there will be 720 different backup versions of that file at the end of the month. Unlike our competitors, the backed-up file size will be 50GB in Pocket Cloud with all its versions. For this, it is enough to buy a 100GB Pro License. Our competitors will charge you for this versioning feature, we provide you with this feature without any additional cost.

Deleted files are stored in Pocket Cloud for up to 60 days. Deleted files do not affect your quota either. For example, you have 90GB of backed-up files and you deleted 50GB of files. While your quota size is 40GB, your 50GB of deleted data is stored in trash free of charge for 60 days. You can restore your deleted files with their versions at any time within 60 days. This also means that if any hacker or malware infiltrates your system and tries to delete your backed-up data, it will fail!

• Advanced central management
• Ease to use
• Unlimited versioning
• Affordable price
• Encrypted storage of data in replicated form in two different locations
• Cryptolocker warning system
• Instant backup for file and folders

No malware on your computer can infect Pocket Cloud servers. Pocket Cloud writes the data to the storage servers through the web API after passing the necessary security controls. Therefore, it is not affected by any malware, including ransomware (Cryptolocker).

 • If you do not have SQL data and you only want to backup files and mail, you should buy the Backup Now Standard license according to the size of your data.
• If you have SQL data, you should buy the Backup Now Professional license. You can also back up your file and mail data with this license.
• If you need to work as a team with online office applications in a public folder from different locations, you should buy a nDocs Workspace license.

Pocket Cloud gives its users a minimum of 20GB with a standard license and a minimum of 100GB with a professional license. It offers more features at more affordable prices than competing brands. Since the minimum area is determined by calculating the operating cost, it is not possible to divide it into smaller parts. The data that you delete is stored for up to 60 days and the versions of your files do not reduce your quota.

Pocket Cloud has no data processing policy unlike other data storage brands. Your data is transferred end-to-end encrypted. It is stored in encrypted form on our storage servers. No one, including our employees, can see your data. It is not possible to access your data in any way other than you and the people to whom you have given your user information.

Renewal notifications are sent to the e-mail address you specified before the license renewal deadline. If you miss the license renewal period, your access to the system will be blocked and your backup process will stop, but your data will be stored for 60 days. If you renew your license within 60 days, your backups will continue from where they left off. Otherwise, your data will be permanently deleted after 60 days.

You can easily access your data with the Application via the computer/server or the Web Panel from anywhere without any need for someone/something else. You can download the files one by one, or you can download them in bulk.

This operation is not possible and not preferred, especially for your own security. Your data is stored in Pocket Cloud in encrypted form. That encryption and sending to the cloud process is done by the application. For this reason, you have to use application to send your data to the cloud. With Narbulut’s compression method, your data will be uploaded to the cloud in a shorter time than you expect.

The Pocket Cloud application backs up the data on the computer or servers where it is installed. It is not possible to back up the shared files on the network by installing the application on a single computer. Such a method is not used by any application because any problem in your network can disrupt your backup operations. If you have a file server where you share your data from the network, you can install the application on this device and back up all your data with a single agent.

The application currently supports Windows operating systems. NAS devices are for storing backed up data. Manufacturers do not recommend using live data in NAS devices. According to the backup standards, the data should be backed up to 2 different devices within the company and a copy should be stored outside the company. With us, you can store your data on servers and computers instantly outside the company in a secure and up-to-date way. When you experience data loss, you can get your data back until the last moment, you can access it from anywhere.

Your data is uploaded as fast as your infrastructure allows. With the high standard compression feature of the application, you can send your high-dimensional data to our servers in a short time, even at low speeds.

You can use our application as On-Premise. To start the process it is sufficient to determine the number of users and request a price quote. For On-Premise the requirements depend on the number of users but on average 4 Virtual Servers and 1 Storage Server are needed.
